Today it seemed like I had a never-ending list of things to do - enroll in classes, return library books, do laundry, finish up another piece for Purple Sneakers, et cetera, et cetera, ad infinitum. I don't even remember the last time I was so content to sit at home on a Thursday night burning a sweet-scented candle, eating and watching Gossip Girl. (Case in point: A single sitting I went from 9 episodes behind to two episodes behind.) Usually at this time on a Thursday I'm dolled up and hounding the bar staff at Press Club to make me a little fruit salad from the delicious collection of fresh fruit intended for cocktails.
Seeing as I was run off of my feet today, I figured I could at least be run off of my feet in style:
I woke up this morning and decided I wanted to wear my favourite skirt (from Forever New). While the crocheted lace detailing of the skirt is beautiful, it can sometimes mean that this skirt looks too dressy for everyday wear. To dress it down - and make it more "errand day" appropriate - I teamed it with my new boyfriend style denim shirt from Sass (bought on sale through the very lovely girls at Birdsnest, a site that I can't recommend enough!) and orange suede flats from Target, before accessorizing with my favourite handbag and layered chain necklace (both from Portmans).
